I founded the Northside Youth Leadership Institute in one of Syracuse’s multiethnic public schools. Recruited a team of career PS teachers, donors and interested leaders to help mentor at-risk 4th, 5th and 6th graders. NYLI imparted essential leadership values of Lifelong Learning, Curiosity, Character and Grit.

2009-2018  Believers’ Chapel Lead Pastor, Cicero NY

Responsible for hiring staff, recruiting volunteers and developing leaders in one of the largest and most influential churches in the area. Preached weekly, taught college level Bible classes, officiated special services (weddings, funerals, baptisms, ordinations, etc.) and spearheaded programs requiring travel and oversight to other church’s in Sri Lanka, India and Dubai. 

2004- 2009 Senior Account Executive: CCX and ODFL, Syracuse NY

Implemented sales and marketing strategies that resulted in year over year growth in customer base and revenues requiring the need to hire additional drivers and staff. Recruited, tutored and supervised new AE’s.  

1987 – 2004 District Sales Manager: Overnite Transportation, MD, WDC & SYR

Implemented corporate strategies to recruit, develop, and motivate a team of 22 sales professionals. Assisted clients to implement mutually beneficial strategies to curtail shipping costs and gain market share. Also implemented strategies that facilitated account retention, operations and profitability. Began my career on the dock in NC and quickly promoted to rate and contract analysis in Rich. Va., Account Mgr. in WDC and then to Dist. Sales Mgr. in Syracuse, NY.
